Re: Inhaling Heat Shrink Fumes


Most of the time in aerial applications but over many many years of retro splicing. I had the MSO that we were working for look into the MSDS and the manufacturer for possible issues and they only said NOT to burn it off. On another note, I have always been open to other ways to remove the old shrink without spending too much time but noone has came up with anything so far....Hence we burn it. All I know right now is my friend is in intesive care with an unknown lung disease even after all kinds of tests. Scary stuff
