2 fity for a modem 7 bucks for a box 10 dvr fair?

i was offerd 2.50 to pick up a modem 7 .50 for a box and 10 bucks for a dvr. it is a equipemtn collection only project. no sales no audit piece or bad debt collect.   doesn't this seem a little weak?   i mean i wuld need to collect 100 dvrs to make my grand?  I DON'T know but does this seem like something fair?  maybe i am talking out of school. but are these good rates? and how can u make u grand off this system?
