That last line gets to me to. I have had company management tell me "If you touch the customer's system, you own it." in terms of responsibility for the install. Every service call was supposed to be a full rebuild. I laugh in their face and ask them how their car mechanic would respond to being held responsible for their entire car just because he changed the oil.
