Re: Storm Project

How's this:  I've a friend working with an Ohio electrical crontractors crew-all he does is drive for an engineer who goes out ahead of crews and writes up construction work order.
Holiday Inn Motel (2 men room) is paid, get's 3 meal tickets a day,  good at about a dozen restaruants, gets paid $35/hr, works 7 x12, overtime over 40 hr. He'll be wrapped up in another 10 days-  will makes him about 35 days on site.
His wife was bitching about him going, now she got the first check-wants to know how long he'll be staying.

This is how a national disaster should be handled...not working on piece work.
Cable MSO will be covered on their insurance for any loss of service...they can afford to pay you a decent wage.

My company was one of two primes who rebuild Hurricane Andrews S. Dade Cty FL back in 90's for Adelphia, working on piece work...   It sucks  "don't do it"

Cable MSO's are and will always be the McDonald's of the industry.. when it comes to wages.  Hell on second thought....maybe McDonald's is better...at least your have a hot meal.

Take Care-Be Safe-Have some fun in your life.
