So you want to be an owner/operator.....Go work for McDonald's... your make out about as good as having your own system. All underground is very expensive, also means all drops going to home/business will be underground. If aerial is done right at the right location, best way to go. I recently built an 8 mile aerial municiple project that had 1500 subs...now that's a pot of gold.
Fiber is the way to go..it's future proof!! Little more costly now but in long term very cost effective.
Get some investors...find an area or a hotel or motel or sub division or trailer park that is just outside of a major MSO System...Build it and sell it to them.
Owning a system is not as easy as you may think. once you get over th construction phase, then management and maintenance kicks in.
