Anyone know the I&R Tech wages for some recent adds. Some company is posting adds for hourly I&R work in various places like North Carolina, Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon for CenturyLink and Frontier, but they only claim "competitive wages". That ususally means not much, lol. Could possibly be interested if work dries up where I am, but only if the rates are above 30/hr with overtime, otherwise it likey would not work for me with travel expenses. Happy where I am, but you never know when the contract work is going to end.
I know there aren't many teleco guys on here, but maybe someone knows who it is and what they are offering for pay. I suspect since it's a company that says they are/were a Cable TV contractor, that their rates are likely too low, just like Cable TV contractors are paying. Maybe just another cable TV contracting company trying to enter into telecom work, that bid too low, and now wonder why they can't get people? But maybe not.
