You can file a lien on any home that you have done work on.... if it is financed the finance company will take interest in the fact that there has been a lien placed on one or more of their properties.... I have also been fortunate enough to get a demolition permit issued by a judge meaning I had every right to remove my material and undo what my labor had achieved without damaging the customers property. small claims court is not very effective in these matters
