FTS should have insisted on a release of lien from their sub before cutting them a check. Comcast should have insisted on a release of lien from FTS' subs before cutting FTS a check. Why would you pay someone who uses subs without requiring they pay their subs first and deliver a means of ensuring that no one can lien a customer's property?
