I have been flagging for years and am certified to train flaggers. You can get training online just for flagging that will make you safer. Don't take your eyes off any moving traffic and beware that some people have tunnel vision and do not see you. Don't stand in the travel lane but beside it so if someone does not stop they will not hit the flagger. Your stop and go sign should be on an 7 foot pool so you can lean it into traffic and not expose yourself. Did not get to be my age without looking out for myself first.
