Re: directv in house tech

It depends on the market, But the one I was in during the summer running 6 days a week taking every job I could I made 11-12 a week. During the winter it was slow due to bad winters snow and ice 500-600 a week tops. They would shut the market down due to ice on the roads. Plus they would keep you close to 40 hours as possible. Also depends on what tier you are on. Top tier is like contractor rates with all the benifits of being in house. If I were in a O and O market I would go back in house. They provided everything, van, tools, materials, free account, insurance. There are weeks that I only make 700 now as a contractor. In house or contractor you have to have the same numbers. No chargebacks inhouse for bad receivers or lnbs. No OTG and WMT charge backs. Most of the time if you running behind they would take a job of you or send a another tech to help. Plus no over routing ( example 4 am installs).
