If you are a W2 employee, they CANNOT hold your check, no matter what!!! You can file a claim with the Labor Dept. and you can sue in court, i believe upto 5X's what is owed to you if it goes that far. You also need to keep track of your hours for the week. If you work over 40hrs, they have to pay you overtime. From the time you are in the office, to the time you go home. Even if you are sitting in your truck for 2hrs waiting on a late call.
