The new PPC's are nice and I agree Amphenol are junk. Don,t even try to take them apart, it's a one time connector, cut it and start over! As far as using a torch some will say don't ever but the fact is 95% of all splices in the world have had a torch burning on it. If you cook it close to the point of melting NO NOT GOOD!
