I stand corrected then. The last course I took was one of the management ones, Got the cert somewhere, along with all the others from installer to fiber. When I started you either had to test out or take the course they would not let you skip around, of course I took my first one back in 90 so things may have changed a bit..
Studding for my RCDD and BISCI certs now.. there's good money in the data end of things now, the video/RF is getting overrun by Hacks and know nothings that allow them self's to take low wages just to get the job. This in turn is killing the techs that know better. But the data side of things they want everything 100% correct 110% of the time so they are still willing to pay people for what they know and what they do.
