Re: Cable TV Is Doomed

My broadband,Tv,phone provider is YohooBB here in Japan. They started out as a cable TV company. Now They are fiber to the home. From my fiber is an onu, out of the onu is a switch, that connects via a cat 5 cable to my telephone,modem, and my set top box. The guys came out installed the fiber and checked it with a power meter then left. The rest was up to me. To set up my set top box I had to punch in the IP address they assigned to me.  with my remote control. Works good I have 1080p out of the box. Technology is already here, only difference I see right now is the customer service. Some of my customers are so computer illiterate they should not own a pc. Cant imagine leaving them instructions to hook up the onu, switch, etc. Would be svc call hell.
