Alright heres some food for thought....
Lets say your an Independ missclassified...
your average checks aer 2400 every two weeks...
thats 1200 a week....
You from the start to the last job "or till 6pm everyday for go-backs" 7am till 7-8pm are most techs hours....
Thats 12-14 days....
So you take 12x6=72 hours a week worked average
72/1200= around 16.999999 an hour you make
youve already been paid for the overtime which is 32hours for that week.... 16.9 divided by 2 = 8.45 is the remaining money owed for those 32hrs
32x8.45=270.4 a week owed
270.4 x 52 "well all know we gotta work all 52 or esle" = 14060.8
This is how much over time your owed
Now if they find the company did this on purpose, think most do, they can go back 3 years and double or triple the money owed
14k x 3 = 42k overtime owed
And expensies for those 3 years, gas tools, chargebacks ect...this is the thousands aswell
So heres another formula
65k on your 1099
65,000 divided by 52 = 1250 a week
75,000 x 52 = 1388 a week
