Yeah, Before cordless drills and pin connectors. Core everything by hand and have 2 1/2" or 3" center conductors. One MSO was so cheap we had to drill out the holes in SA amps so the center conductor would fit into the amps with feed through fittings. tubing cutters to get your aluminum off correctly. input loops on taps off hooks or go home. Of course that's back when for the most part you went from grunt to lineman to foreman. Upgrades ruined it all. IMO.
