Re: A new career

Get into construction and start as a lineman tranie. Work your way up, slide down a few poles, drink a few beers, stay in a few hundred motels for a few hundred years, find the right people to train you to splice and activate-troubleshoot until you can do it in your sleep. Then if you can get off the road still married get into a system as maintainence, take a 50% pay cut for insurance and security and shake your head at the lack of knowledge and skills around you !!!

There's no way you will get the experience if you start in systems and work your way up. Too much suckin up and politics. If you make it this far you will blow the doors off in house techs with with your climbing skills and system knowledge, But and I mean BUT. it will cause jealousy with some as they take offense at real skills and knowledge. They thought they were real till you showed up!!!!

I would never trade the the hard work it took me to be what I am!!
Still climbin too and lovin it. Not much of that around!!!!!!!!!!
