Is there another way to sort threads?

I've known of this forum for quite a while but haven't really used it because I have found it difficult to read. I realize the problem is likely on my end. I was wondering if there is a way to re-sort postings so that new topics are shown and replies are in a chronological order instead of the hierarchy they appear in now? Thanks for the help.
