You may be right! Not familiar with that term. Sounds like a in-span ringcut where you shave back and splice to laterals. Considering the buffer tube twist averages 24" in most cables, it would be an interesting task. A splice point would be pretty easy, prepping and splicing in the air. I feel this would be a grave error on the designers part if this is actually the case. If it is on an existing network that doesn't have sufficient slack, then the price would obviously be higher for this unique method of splicing. When she lets you know, send me an e-mail, I would love a piece of that!
