Anybody running/splicing fiber for Verizon? I've got an aunt doing walkouts as a contractor for them, checking the co loops and seeing what they need for ftth. She says everyone she's been with is old phone. They all took the buyout and then went back to contract.
I've done some underground work for them, ran conduit and wreckout, trench and blow string, but when it comes to touching the glass, no can do. Union will not let it happen. Is this just the contractor I'm with, or is this the same everywhere? They can't do this on their own, they barely have enough people now.
Any pearls would be nice.
So, is Verizon Letting the Dawgs in their yard?
